LOVELAND — Aims Community College will open its annual student art show April 10 at its Loveland campus, featuring work from students across multiple disciplines.
The opening reception is scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Aims Loveland Campus. The free event will include an opportunity to meet artists and view works in painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and graphic art.
The exhibition, themed “Shapes and Figures,” highlights student work exploring identity and inspiration. The juried show includes a Best in Show award, with a scholarship of up to $350, along with additional honors.
“When you come to the Aims art show, you’re uplifting our students and celebrating who they are and what they have to say through their art,” said Sarah Cameron, campus coordinator and show organizer.
The opening coincides with Loveland Night on the Town Art Walk, a monthly downtown event held on the second Friday of each month.
The exhibit will remain open to the public through June 5.
