Recycle Global Exchange (RGX) is a digital marketplace for businesses to dispose of electronics and other information technology assets. The platform enables companies to manage their transactions easily.

Recycling electronics is crucial in a world where technology evolves at such a rapid pace that devices and other information technology assets quickly become obsolete. The company’s cloud-based marketplace allows customers to submit project requests, then prompts e-scrap recyclers in the customers’ geographic area to submit competitive bids. By keeping disposal options local, the company helps businesses reduce transportation costs and cut the resulting CO2 output. The marketplace is available nationwide and the company plans to expand globally.

“In order to reduce manufacturing and environmental impact, building a circular economy means getting the obsolete material into a reuse option but also in a certified recycling disposal process,” RGX CEO Sean Miles said. “This process brings the commodities back into the manufacturing process so it can be reused in future tech device creation.”

The company won a three-year contract with AT&T after a successful pilot program with the telecom giant’s Asset Recovery Group and now has former AT&T employees on staff.

RGX works with its clients to host e-waste drives at their businesses and has sponsored drives at homeowners association events to give people options to dispose of their electronics.
