South Metro Denver Chamber Elects New Chairman

The president and CEO of Denver-based medical billing firm, Clinic Service Corporation, Andrew Graham, has been elected the next chairman of the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce. Describing small businesses as "under attack," Graham has publicly expressed that government and the economy favor big organizations, and added he is not interested in seeing the Olympics or Amazon come to Denver. 

"We are fortunate to be business people during a time where business generally is good, especially in Colorado," Graham says. "And while business is good, smaller companies still have an uphill challenge since the economy generally favors large businesses. I'm committed to ensuring small businesses in the South Metro Area get what help we can give them to compete for contracts and customers."

In his previous role, Graham was an ardent voice for transparency in medical billing and was a driving force behind last year's legislative bill to achieve just that in Colorado. He recently completed two terms on the Littleton Planning Commission and presently serves on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America, Denver Area Council.

Graham says the Chamber is a place "where all businesses, regardless of size, have a voice" in decision-making and strategy.

The SMDC Board elected Blue Print Strategies' founder Jennifer Webster president-elect. She previously served as senior vice president of public affairs and communications at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.

New professionals also joining the board of directors include: Rick Bruno, FirstBank; Cathlyn DePaiva, Pro Disposal & Recycling; Karl Paulson, Colorado PERA; Krista Simonson, Simonson Team RE/MAX; Bob Stewart, AAA Colorado; Jeff Holwell, City of Lone Tree; Stephanie Beling, Children's Hospital; and Christie Lee, Lochheed Martin.

"My goal is always to surround myself with people who are ridiculously smart, and I am humbled by the team that joins me on the SMDC Board," Graham says. "We all share a respect for the long traditions nurtured by this chamber. For 99 years this organization has prioritized community engagements and making the South Metro Denver area a great place to live and work. We look forward to the work ahead and invite all to join."

The South Metro Denver Chamber heads toward its 100th year of operation in 2021. The organization has 650 members and wields influence in four counties and cities.
