"It truly is driven by what your own plans are, what you and your family are looking to accomplish," says Marti Brust, senior vice president and wealth advisor at UMB Bank. "It is strategic about where you place those dollars."
Brust says people come to private wealth management for a broad base of reasons.
"It could be that they've been working really hard accumulating assets but aren't sure how that translates in terms of achieving their financial goals," Brust says.
