Seattle Fish Co. CEO named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year

James Iacino, president and CEO of Seattle Fish Co, received the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2016 Award in the family business category in the Mountain Desert region.

The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Iacino was selected by an independent panel of judges, and the award was presented at a special gala event at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Complex on June 23, 2016.

James Iacino, the grandson of Mose Iacino, founder of Seattle Fish Co., represents the third generation of the Iacino family to own and operate the company. As the leader of one of the largest seafood distributors in the West, James Iacino oversees the strategy and culture of Seattle Fish Co. and ensures that the company maintains its steadfast commitment to the principles that have guided the company for more than 97 years.

As a Mountain Desert region award winner, Iacino is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2016 national program. Award winners in several national categories, as well as the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner, will be announced at the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 19, 2016. The U.S. Entrepreneur Of The Year Overall Award winner then moves on to compete for the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Monaco in June 2017.
