Amy Seneshen is the managing partner of Welborn Sullivan Meck & Tooley, where she has built a 25-year career that began in mining before expanding into oil and gas. She now regularly negotiates energy deals in the hundreds of millions of dollars, including a $1.33 billion acquisition in 2020. An early lesson shaped her approach: while working on an oil and gas development project, Seneshen pushed through discomfort to ask questions she feared made her look uninformed — only to discover nobody had the answers. That willingness to keep learning has guided her ever since. “Natural resources law is a field of innovators,” she said, pointing to VerAI, a Boston-based client using AI to locate mineral deposits. “I think that’s going to be transformative in the mining industry.”
