Boulder-based Ambrosia Biosciences has appointed Linda Shapiro Manning as chief medical officer and added Randy Seeley to its scientific advisory board.
Shapiro Manning has nearly 30 years of clinical and research experience in obesity and cardiometabolic diseases. She previously worked on drug development programs at Novo Nordisk, Boehringer Ingelheim and Rhythm Pharmaceuticals. She also treated more than 5,000 patients during 10 years of obesity medicine practice.
“I’ve dedicated my career to providing quality care and developing new solutions for people with obesity and cardiometabolic disease,” Shapiro Manning said.
Seeley is a professor of surgery at the University of Michigan Medical School and director of the National Institutes of Health-funded Michigan Nutrition Obesity Research Center. His research focuses on the connection between the digestive system and brain and its role in energy balance, metabolism, obesity and diabetes. He has published more than 400 peer-reviewed articles.
