Carolyn McIntosh is a senior partner at Squire Patton Boggs whose career has centered on high-profile environmental and natural resources cases, contaminated site matters, and major permitting projects. She led the outside counsel team on Colorado’s successful defense in the Gold King Mine case before the U.S. Supreme Court and has guided complex cleanup and permitting efforts resolving long-standing environmental challenges. McIntosh currently chairs the Audit Committee for the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law and is the 2024 past President of the Board of Trustees for the American Exploration & Mining Association. She served 12 years on the Lafayette City Council, including four as mayor, and 10 years on the Denver Regional Council of Governments Board. “I am a leader because I acknowledge when I need help, assemble a team with the appropriate skills, foster collaboration…and then step back to let the team work,” she says.
