Will Toor brings decades of public service and clean energy expertise to his role as Executive Director of the Colorado Energy Office, where he has served since January 2019 following his appointment by Governor Jared Polis. His background spans transportation electrification, electric vehicle policy, clean energy finance, green building policy, and regional planning. Prior to this role, he served as Transportation Program Director at the Southwest Energy Efficiency Project, Boulder County Commissioner for eight years, and Mayor of Boulder for six years. He also spent 12 years as Director of the University of Colorado Environmental Center. Toor holds a BS in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Chicago.
