Andrea is a seventh-generation Colorado native and the current leader of SCFD, which she joined in 2025, bringing more than 27 years of experience in public service leadership. Her prior roles include Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President of Culture and Strategy at Denver International Airport, Chief of Staff for the Denver Sheriff Department, and Deputy Executive Director for the Denver Department of Human Services. She holds credentials from the University of Colorado Denver, Harvard Kennedy School, and the Latino Leadership Institute and is a DEI Master Certified Practitioner. She currently serves on the Denver Preschool Program Board of Directors, the Visit Denver Board, and the CU Denver EMBA Curriculum Advisory Board.
