Peggy Lyle is the director of the Downtown Fort Collins Creative District and executive director of the Fort Collins Musicians Association (FoCoMA), the parent organization of FoCoMX, the annual Fort Collins Music Experiment festival. A creative force in Northern Colorado for more than 25 years, she has produced, booked, and marketed special events across the region, including the Bohemian Nights at NewWestFest, which draws 100,000 attendees across eight stages. Under her leadership, FoCoMX has grown to feature more than 400 Colorado bands performing across 35 downtown venues in a single weekend. “A lot of people still don’t see being in the creative field as a real career choice,” Lyle says. “But if you combine all those in the creative industry, it would be the third largest employer in Fort Collins.”
