Ann Prouty counsels clients on a wide range of environmental regulatory, compliance, and enforcement matters, guiding them through environmental due diligence, audits, permitting, compliance, and enforcement actions. She leverages broad knowledge of environmental policies and regulatory agency processes to help clients develop proactive strategies and responses when disputes or regulatory actions arise, and defends clients in administrative actions and citizen suits arising under the Clean Water Act. Clients with asset or equity transactions also turn to Prouty at the due diligence phase to identify potential environmental liabilities. She has served as Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Environmental and Energy Litigation Section Women in Environment and Energy Lawyers Subcommittee since 2011, has been a board member of Sand Creek Regional Greenway since 2019, and participated in COGA’s EnGen Leadership Program in 2018.
