DENVER — The Crawford Hotel at Denver Union Station has named Hector Karim Gaona as hotel manager.
Gaona brings more than a decade of hospitality experience, having held leadership roles at resorts and hotels in the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean and Africa. He most recently served as managing director of Colorado-based hospitality consulting firm Wynterbrook.
His previous roles include area general manager for ÀNI Private Resorts in Anguilla and the Dominican Republic and director of rooms at the Ritz-Carlton Club in Aspen. He also held leadership positions at One&Only Le Saint Géran in Mauritius, The St. Regis Chicago and The St. Regis New York.
Gaona earned an executive MBA from Hult International Business School and is fluent in Spanish and English.
“Hector is a proven leader with vast hospitality expertise,” said Ed Blair, area general manager overseeing The Crawford and Denver Union Station. “We are thrilled to have him leading The Crawford as we continue to elevate our guest experience.”
The Crawford Hotel is located inside Denver Union Station and is managed by Sage Hospitality Group. The hotel, named after Denver preservationist Dana Crawford, includes 112 guest rooms and underwent room renovations last year.
