Scot Anderson is the managing partner at Womble Bond Dickinson’s Denver office, with more than 35 years in energy and natural resources law. A past president of the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law, Anderson views power as pragmatic and collaborative. “Power is the ability to get things done,” he said. “You need to be able to figure out how to work cooperatively and solve problems and get everybody comfortable with what you’re up to so that things actually get done.” Anderson has also helped lead a pro bono effort advising governments in Jordan, Afghanistan, and Mongolia on energy development — working, he explains, “to create legal systems that allow for that country’s resources to be developed in a responsible manner, and to assure that the economic benefits are shared by the people in the country.”
