Steve Gurr is a shareholder and Co-Chair of the Construction Practice Group at Polsinelli with 35 years of experience. His greatest career accomplishment was leading the Polsinelli construction trial team to wins in two federal jury trials in 2024 and 2025, both involving construction disputes over hundreds of millions of dollars. He has also argued cases before the Colorado Supreme Court and takes pride in mentoring the attorneys on his team. His leadership philosophy holds that “lawyers are not hired to stay hidden in a fox hole but must stand and face the fire.” Amy Hansen, Polsinelli Denver’s Co-Office Managing Partner, offers this perspective: “What truly stands out about Steve is his humility. Despite his impressive accomplishments and expertise, he consistently attributes success to teamwork and is always willing to share credit with others.” Steve is a founding board member of the Denver Park Trust, a Co-Host of the 2026 Denver Public Schools Foundation Achieve Gala, and is active in the Colorado Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Colorado Judicial Institute.
