Uma Devi Gopaldass

Uma Devi Gopaldass is a board director and chair with more than 35 years of global experience spanning innovation, technology, energy, natural resources and impact investing. Throughout her career, she has guided organizations through periods of transformation, from the digitalization of oilfield operations to global supply chain redesign and the current energy transition and artificial intelligence-driven economy.
Gopaldass has held leadership roles with Schlumberger, Accenture and Newmont Mining, where she led capital growth initiatives, restructurings and international expansions. She has overseen more than $30 billion in capital investments and revenue growth while advising on corporate risk governance, mergers and acquisitions, capital strategy and business development.
Through Leading Lotus, her advisory practice, Gopaldass works with boards, family offices and executives on investment strategies focused on energy, climate, technology and global economic trends. She currently serves on the boards of Cascade Energy, VECKTA Corporation and CoPeace Capital Investments.
A recognized thought leader, Gopaldass has spoken at global forums including New York Climate Week, Colorado Start-Up Week, Deloitte’s Board Ready Program and Women in M&A. She also has served as a director coach with EY’s 50/50 Women on Boards program, supporting the advancement of women in leadership.
Her contributions to impact investing and sustainable solutions earned recognition as one of the Impact Finance Center’s “Who’s Who of Impact Investing” honorees in 2025. Gopaldass also has served as vice chair of GenHax and as a corporate leadership board member of TEDxMileHigh, helping advance innovation, entrepreneurship and community impact.
