DENVER — has hired as a partner in its in , the firm announced.

Powers, a certified public accountant, has nearly 20 years of experience in , including tax provision services, mergers and acquisitions and international tax structuring. He most recently worked as a tax principal at a national accounting firm, where he led corporate tax growth efforts in the Denver market.

“We’ve been intentional about growing our in Denver, and Brandon’s experience supports the work ahead,” said Rob Nowak, the firm’s national practice leader for tax services.

Powers has advised multinational and middle-market companies on , cross-border structuring and transaction-related matters. He has also worked on strategic planning and operational improvements and has led tax teams.

He has been active in the local business community, including serving on the executive board of World Trade Center Denver.

Powers earned a master’s degree in taxation from University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Colorado State University. He is licensed as a in Colorado.
