Björn’s Colorado Honey opened a retail store at through a partnership with Neoera, marking the company’s first long-term airport lease.

In Brief:
  • opened its first airport retail location at Denver International Airport.
  • The shop was developed in partnership with Denver design firm Neoera.
  • The store offers honey products along with and tea beverages.
  • Denver International Airport waived the store’s first-year rent after it opened two months ahead of schedule.

The store introduces honey-infused coffee and tea beverages in addition to the company’s honey products. The design reflects the brand’s Scandinavian heritage and references founder Pontus’s grandfather, Björn, who began the family’s beekeeping tradition in Sweden.

The store uses wood finishes, shelving and flooring along with a yellow wall featuring botanical illustrations. The coffee bar includes a charcoal-colored counter wrap made from post-consumer recycled cardboard and eco-resin.

The space previously housed a nail salon and later a Coors retail pop-up. Plumbing was limited to a single rear sink, requiring installation of additional water lines, sinks, a mop sink and a dishwasher to support the coffee bar.

Denver-based design firm Neoera coordinated the layout and equipment placement to accommodate retail sales and beverage service within the space.

The store opened two months ahead of schedule after coordination with airport project managers and the contractor.

In recognition of the accelerated timeline, Denver International Airport waived the store’s first-year rent.
