Chanda Hinton is Senior Executive Director of the Chanda Center for Health, which she founded in 2005 after sustaining a spinal cord injury at age nine. The center provides integrative and primary care, behavioral health, physical therapy, and adaptive yoga for individuals with long-term physical disabilities. Her policy advocacy led to the passage of Colorado House Bill 1047 in 2009, creating the Spinal Cord Injury Waiver, and she expanded Medicaid coverage for integrative therapies statewide in 2021. She recently led a campaign raising over $400,000 to pay off the center’s mortgage. She has been honored by the Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and the Colorado Women’s Chamber Top 25 Powerful Women.
