Nineteen Colorado-based companies landed on Forbes’ recently published lists of the best employers in the U.S.
The state’s top honorees were Westminster-based Vantor, a spatial intelligence company, at No. 45 for mid-sized companies, and the Children’s Hospital in Aurora, which ranked No. 65 among large companies.
Forbes, along with market research firm Statista, created two lists: the top 500 mid-sized employers (1,000 to 5,000 employees) and the top 700 large employers (more than 5,000 employees). The rankings were based on multiple years of survey data, including recommendations from current employees, and companies do not pay to be part of the rankings.
Colorado had nine large companies and 10 mid-sized companies land on the lists, across sectors ranging from education to health care to transportation and engineering.
