GOLDEN, Colo. — YoColorado co-founder Brad Miller has been named one of five finalists for the National Retail Federation‘s Rising Star Award and selected as Colorado’s representative in the organization’s 2026 America’s Retail Champions program.
Miller was among 50 retailers from 27 states selected to participate in the 2026 NRF Retail Advocates Summit, held July 14-16 in Washington, D.C. The biennial event brings retailers and federal lawmakers together to discuss issues affecting the retail industry and small businesses.
“As the nation marks 250 years of entrepreneurship and innovation, small businesses remain at the heart of the American economy,” Miller said. “Giving small businesses a voice matters because we not only help drive our country’s economy, but we also bring personality, character and a sense of community to the places we call home.”
The America’s Retail Champions program recognizes small-business retailers for their advocacy efforts on behalf of the retail industry and their communities. Participants were nominated by state retail associations and industry peers for leadership and public policy involvement.
More than 98% of U.S. retail businesses employ fewer than 50 people, Miller said.
Founded in 2013 and based in Golden, YoColorado designs outdoor apparel and gear inspired by Colorado’s outdoor lifestyle. The company has collaborated with brands including Coors Banquet and the National Ski Patrol, and its products are sold through retailers such as Vail Resorts, REI and Christy Sports.
