DENVER — Colorado Thrives, a nonprofit coalition of CEOs and business leaders, has launched CareerFit Colorado, an AI-powered platform designed to connect Colorado job seekers with employers committed to hiring locally.
Developed in partnership with FutureFit AI, the platform uses skills-matching technology to help job seekers find careers aligned with their experience and goals. Employers can use it to identify qualified, trainable candidates ready to grow into high-demand jobs.
CareerFit Colorado debuts with a broad network of partners, including ActivateWork, BuildStrong Academy of Colorado, Elevate Quantum, the Greater Arvada Chamber, NSF ASCEND Engine in Colorado and in Wyoming, Project Scale and the Tech Talent Partnership. Together, these organizations support thousands of job seekers and hundreds of employers across industries such as business, healthcare, construction, advanced manufacturing, and emerging fields like quantum and climate technology.
“Through the noise of job boards, there is tremendous power in simplicity and more direct, community-based connections,” said Colorado Thrives CEO Christine Heitz. “This platform helps bring together partners to give Coloradans a more direct demand signal and open doors.”
The platform aims to address both worker shortages and hiring inefficiencies across Colorado’s economy. While sectors such as healthcare and construction face talent gaps, others struggle to identify qualified local applicants. CareerFit Colorado also consolidates fragmented efforts by workforce and training organizations that have relied on separate job boards and manual data collection.
A key feature of the platform is its ability to track data across the applicant funnel, generating insights into which education and training programs best prepare job seekers for open roles. These insights are expected to strengthen collaboration between educators, workforce groups, and employers.
“CareerFit Colorado is about creating a flywheel for Colorado’s workforce,” said Steven A. Cohen, co-president and co-chief operating officer of The Anschutz Corporation and co-chair of Colorado Thrives. “When job seekers know which pathways lead to opportunity, employers see the talent they’ve been missing, and partners can learn from shared data, we create a system that keeps getting smarter and more effective for everyone.”
CareerFit Colorado is part of Colorado Thrives’ Upskill 2030 initiative, which seeks to connect 30,000 Coloradans to living-wage careers by 2030.
