DENVER — The state of Colorado will mark in April, highlighting the role of apprenticeship programs in and .

State officials said apprenticeship programs continue to expand across industries including health care, clean energy and cybersecurity. More than 100 new registered apprenticeship programs were added in 2025, according to Apprenticeship Colorado.

The agency also helped launch the Future Ready Apprenticeship Center in 2025 in partnership with through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Labor. The center is funded with $12.5 million in federal funds and is designed to align apprenticeship programs with career and technical education and expand access for young people.

“Registered Apprenticeships serve as a powerful bridge between education and career,” said Melissa English, interim director of Apprenticeship Colorado.

Events scheduled during the month include the Colorado Apprenticeship Awards on April 21, a virtual apprenticeship expansion call on April 27 and an apprenticeship career expo on April 28 in Aurora.

Organizers said the campaign will focus on sharing stories about how apprenticeship programs support employers, workers and communities across the state.
