Gertie Harris is CEO and co-founder of Fireside at Five, a Denver-based branding, marketing and events agency she launched in 2020 to help organizations build authentic connections through community-driven storytelling and placemaking. What began as a virtual gathering space during the pandemic has grown into a full-service agency serving hospitality groups, developers, nonprofits, business improvement districts and community organizations across Colorado.

Under Harris’ leadership, Fireside at Five has grown to a team of 10 employees and become a trusted partner for clients including Sage Hospitality, Downtown Denver Partnership, RiNo Art District, Continuum Partners and Culinary Creative Group. The agency has raised more than $100,000 for local nonprofits and generated more than $1.5 million for Colorado’s small business economy through community markets and events.

During the past year, Harris led marketing campaigns supporting the revitalization of downtown Denver, including the 16th Street Summer Kickoff, Grand Opening and Winter in the City initiatives that helped restore pre-pandemic foot traffic. She also helped launch Sakura Square’s Spirit of Japan festival, which attracted more than 6,000 attendees, coordinated RiNo Art District’s 20th anniversary celebration that raised $30,000 for the district and developed seasonal activations for the Populus Hotel.

Beyond her agency work, Harris is a champion for local artists, entrepreneurs and nonprofits. She has helped hundreds of small businesses and creatives participate in community events, supported Madsgiving through pro bono fundraising and marketing and secured sponsorships for organizations including RiNo Art District, Sakura Foundation, Denver Sister Cities International and The Poster Institute. Her collaborative leadership continues to strengthen Colorado’s creative economy while fostering meaningful community connections.
