Jacob “Jake” Gilmore Jr. has more than 40 years of experience in the construction industry and is the founder of Gilmore Construction Corporation, which he established in 1997 alongside his wife, Edweena. A Denver native who grew up in Park Hill, he earned a degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder on a Sacks Foundation scholarship. He began his career at a local minority-owned construction firm, advancing to Operations Manager before launching his own company. Gilmore is dedicated to empowering employees, mentoring minority-owned businesses, giving back to communities, and educating youth about opportunities in construction.
