Joseph Ramos is a medical doctor and attorney who founded Ramos Law in 2011 after a career in emergency medicine. The firm now operates seven Colorado offices and one in Phoenix. His dual background directly shaped his focus on personal injury law. “I saw the people who would come into the emergency department and talk about an injury from 15 years earlier,” he said, “and I saw the effects now and the effects in the future.” Growing up poor in rural Nevada also deepened his empathy for clients struggling with medical debt. “As an attorney, I appreciate what people are going through,” said Ramos. “I personally relate to that all the way back to my past. I think that’s made me more compassionate, more understanding, and more tenacious in practicing law.”
