Montgomery “Monty” Cleworth brings decades of investment and philanthropic leadership to Denver Health Foundation’s Board of Directors. He joined Monticello Associates in 1997, an asset management consultant to endowments and foundations, and retired as managing director in 2023 while continuing as an advisor to the firm. Previously, he served as managing director at Hanifen Imhoff Inc., portfolio manager at Founders Asset Management, and vice president at First Boston Corporation. Cleworth established the Cleworth LEAP Scholarship at East High School, a $100,000 annual grant supporting student education, and the CAL Legacy Program at the Denver Architecture Foundation. He serves on the boards of Rocky Mountain Public Media and Citizens for Arts to Zoo and previously chaired the Denver Museum of Nature & Science board. He holds a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from Stanford University.
