Renee Ferrufino became the first Latina to lead The Women’s Foundation of Colorado when she was named president and CEO in January 2025. As vice president of development, she grew annual contributions from $2.3 million in 2016 to nearly $6 million in fiscal year 2023-24, increased donor-advised funds from six to more than 80, and designed the Women & Girls of Color Fund, which has granted more than $2.5 million to nonprofits since 2021. She also developed the nation’s first women’s impact investing giving circle, providing low-interest loans to women entrepreneurs. “My vision centers on partnering with board and staff to evolve The Women’s Foundation of Colorado’s community impact,” Ferrufino said. She serves on the board of Philanthropy Colorado and is a member of the Women’s Funding Network Gender & Capital Leverage Strategy Design Council.
