Children’s Hospital Colorado ranks top in U.S. News list

AURORA, Colo. — Children’s Hospital Colorado has again been named one of the nation’s top pediatric hospitals, earning a spot on the U.S. News & World Report 2025-2026 Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll. The distinction is awarded to only 10 children’s hospitals in the United States.

Ranked No. 1 in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region, Children’s Colorado received national recognition for excellence in all evaluated specialties. Five of its programs ranked among the top 10 nationwide: cardiology and heart surgery (No. 2), diabetes and endocrinology (No. 3), pulmonology and lung surgery (No. 4), cancer (No. 4) and gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery (No. 7).
“When it comes to the big things, Children’s Colorado has it covered, but it’s the moments in between that set us apart,” said Jena Hausmann, president and CEO of Children’s Hospital Colorado. “Our team members know that every word and gesture can be monumental, and that taking care of children and their families while delivering exceptional outcomes is what drives us forward.”
U.S. News ranked the top 50 centers in 11 pediatric specialties, including cancer, neonatology, orthopedics and behavioral health. The rankings are intended to help parents and physicians identify hospitals that provide high-quality care for children with serious or complex conditions.
For the 2025-2026 rankings, U.S. News and RTI International, a North Carolina-based research firm, evaluated data from 118 children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. Hospitals earning a “Best” designation were recognized for strong clinical outcomes, adherence to best practices and the quality of hospital resources tied to patient care.
“The hospitals on the U.S. News Honor Roll have earned their place by consistently delivering exceptional outcomes across many specialties,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News. “They represent the very best in pediatric medicine.”
