GOLDEN, Colo. — Colorado Fusion Week brought together energy companies, researchers, investors, policymakers and workforce organizations to discuss the state’s growing fusion energy sector.
The event, hosted by Colorado Cleantech and CleanTech Alliance, highlighted fusion research, advanced manufacturing and the network of suppliers and institutions needed to support the industry.
Participants included Xcimer Energy, Marvel Fusion, Horne Technology, Lowercarbon Capital and Leitmotif. Researchers from the University of Colorado, Colorado State University and Colorado School of Mines also attended.
“Colorado Fusion Week helps boost Colorado’s role in cutting-edge clean fusion energy,” Gov. Jared Polis said. “We have the research institutions, the talent and the innovative spirit to become the global center for fusion energy.”
Colorado, Marvel Fusion and Siemens Energy signed a letter of intent in June to increase collaboration on the development and commercialization of fusion energy. The agreement was signed during a state delegation’s visit to Marvel Fusion’s headquarters in Munich.
