The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Chamber Foundation have launched a national program offering free artificial intelligence training for small businesses.
The initiative, called Small Business B(AI)sics, provides online courses and in-person workshops through local chambers of commerce. The program is supported by Google.org and aims to train 40,000 small businesses in basic AI skills.
“Small businesses are eager to understand how AI can help them save time, reach new customers, and stay competitive,” said Mike Morello, chief digital officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The courses are available online through the Chamber’s small business platform and include self-paced lessons, live and on-demand training and practical guides focused on using AI in day-to-day operations. In-person workshops will be held in communities across the country.
Small business owners in Colorado can access training and resources at https://www.uschamber.com/co/small-business-ai-training.
The launch comes ahead of National Small Business Month in May. Organizers said adoption of AI by small businesses has more than doubled since 2023, though challenges remain around cost, skills and data readiness.
The U.S. Chamber Foundation said the program is designed to address those barriers and expand access to AI tools for entrepreneurs.
