Early in-person voting opens statewide in Colorado

DENVER — Early is now open across Colorado, giving voters the opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of the Nov. 4 coordinated election. Statewide voting centers opened Monday, and by Tuesday, Oct. 28, all will be available for use.

“This year, over 150 voting centers and 430 drop boxes will be available for to make their voices heard,” Secretary of State said in a statement. “Today is also the last suggested day to return your ballot by mail to ensure it is received by Election Day. After today, please return it to a drop box or voting center, or vote in person.”

Eligible voters can still register or update their registration at GoVoteColorado.gov through Oct. 27 to receive a ballot by mail. After that date, Coloradans can register and vote in person through 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters who plan to return their ballots by mail are encouraged to do so by the end of the day Monday to ensure they arrive on time. Beginning Tuesday, officials recommend using a drop box or voting center instead.

According to the Secretary of State’s Office, 152 voting centers are open as of Oct. 27, and all 437 drop boxes will be operational by Oct. 28. Voting centers will remain open through Election Day, when polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters can find their nearest drop box or voting center, check hours of operation, and track their ballots through at GoVoteColorado.gov.

State officials remind Coloradans to rely only on trusted sources for and to make a plan to vote early.
