Elevate Quantum opens cryogenic testing lab in Denver

DENVER — Elevate Quantum has opened a cryogenic testing lab in Denver that provides temperatures colder than deep space to help accelerate the development and commercialization of quantum technologies.

The new facility is designed for startups, researchers and industry partners working to advance quantum hardware and software. It allows testing at temperatures as low as 10 millikelvin, creating the ultracold conditions needed to stabilize and control quantum states.
The lab features several advanced systems, including a Maybell Quantum dilution refrigerator capable of reaching 10 millikelvin, a Quantum Machines control stack for high-fidelity experiment management and a Conscience quantum processing unit built for scalable research and development.
Together, the systems create a turnkey environment for quantum product testing and development, giving users the tools needed to speed innovation and reduce time to market.
Elevate Quantum qualified and calibrated the lab in partnership with the NIST Boulder Cryogenic Quantum Testbed Lab to ensure precision and reliability.
“This lab represents a critical piece of infrastructure for the growing quantum ecosystem,” said Jeff Tyler, director of the Quantum Commercialization Lab. “By giving companies access to the same caliber of equipment used by national labs and leading research institutions, we’re helping them move faster from prototype to product without taking on major equipment and facility investments.”
Elevate Quantum plans to expand its capacity in March 2026 with the opening of the Quantum Commercialization Lab at the Quantum Commons. The 14,000-square-foot facility will offer additional cryogenic testing, collaborative workspace and support for other quantum modalities, further advancing quantum development in Colorado and the Mountain West.
