Julie Taulman is president and CEO of the National Sports Center for the Disabled, one of the largest adaptive sports nonprofits in the country, a role she assumed in 2023 after joining the organization in 2020. Under her leadership, NSCD served more than 2,100 participants this year, a 22 percent increase from 2023, while revenue grew by 20 percent and scholarships increased by 43 percent. She launched the Front Range Adaptive Program Center at Jefferson County Fairgrounds and secured major grants for adaptive bikes and hand cycles. Earlier, Taulman was a founding board member and first executive director of Steamboat Adaptive Recreational Sports, where she led development of a year-round adaptive recreation facility.
