President, principal, and senior commercial broker at The Colorado Group in Boulder, W. Scott Reichenberg, 54, has been involved in more than 825 transactions totaling about $1.25 billion in his 30-year career in commercial real estate.

“Power is knowledge,” said Reichenberg. That encompasses “knowing comps of transactions in the marketplace, good technical understanding of deal structure and financial analysis, and having a positive working relationship with everyone in our ecosystem.”

The inherent entrepreneurialism of the field is a big plus, he added. “In brokerage, you are your own boss and that creates the autonomy to invest your time as one desires, from attending our kids events to being involved in nonprofits to support our community needs.” To that end, Reichenberg is heavily involved with the Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Make-A-Wish Colorado.
