Brian Friedman

Brian Friedman, 58, grew up in Denver and worked for the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., before co-founding GHP Investment Advisors (GHPIA) in 1999. The 30-employee firm’s assets under management has grown from $10 million to $2.8 billion in the years since.
“I love working with our clients, helping our clients navigate through the incredibly volatile and choppy waters of the financial markets,” said Friedman, GHPIA’s president and chief investment officer. “I love the relationships that we formed together as a team in the company, and the long-term relationships we’ve developed with our clients.”
Friedman said “quantified common sense” is GHPIA’s investment ethos. “It’s an approach that our entire team can get behind,” he noted. “You need to visualize the upside, but be prepared for the downside.”
Friedman is a member of the board of the World Trade Center Denver and is a former co-chair of the Financial Roundtable of the National Association for Business Economics.
