Joseph Janiczek served as CEO of Janiczek Wealth Management from its founding in 1990 to its merger with New York-based Cerity Partners in 2024. The impetus for the deal? Cerity Partner’s “innovations and scale advantages just opened up greater opportunities to serve our clients better,” explained Janiczek. “Our goal has always been to be a premier go to-player for high net worth and ultra-high net worth people in the region.”

Now a partner and practice leader at Cerity Partner’s Denver office, Janiczek is the author of three books on personal finance and sees wealth management as something of a solemn duty. “It’s a great responsibility to advise people with their personal finances,” he said. “We want to meet clients where they’re at and help them advance to where they want to go.”
