COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Columbia Bank has opened its first commercial banking office and retail branch in Colorado Springs, expanding its presence in Colorado.
The 5,500-square-foot branch at 517 S. Cascade Ave. in the downtown Trolley District offers commercial and retail banking services. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The bank began operating in Colorado Springs in 2023 under Southern Colorado Market Director Alex Sullivan, who will lead the new commercial banking center. Sullivan previously worked at UMB Bank and was involved in Colorado Springs’ City for Champions economic development initiative.
“Opening a commercial office and full-service retail branch allows us to deepen our commitment to local businesses and better serve the community,” Columbia Bank President Tory Nixon said.
Columbia entered Colorado in 2022 and opened its first retail branch in the state in 2025. The bank now has four commercial and retail banking offices in Denver and Colorado Springs. Columbia Private Trust, which reports $19 billion in assets under custody, also is based in Denver.
Columbia Bank is a subsidiary of Tacoma, Washington-based Columbia Banking System Inc.
