COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Commerce City has launched a national marketing campaign aimed at attracting industrial, logistics and business investment.
The campaign, called “Commerce City Delivers,” targets site selectors, corporate executives and investors. City officials said it is designed to increase inquiries, attract capital investment and support existing businesses.
“Commerce City has always delivered on infrastructure, on connectivity, and on opportunity,” said Keith Morey, director of economic and community vitality. “This campaign gives us the unified voice to tell that story to our community here and across the world.”
Commerce City’s population has tripled since 2000. The city reports a median age of 34 and a population that is nearly 50% Hispanic or Latino.
The city is located near Denver International Airport and at the intersection of three interstates and two Class I freight rail lines. It is home to Colorado’s only petroleum refinery and major distribution operations including Amazon, FedEx, UPS, McLane and Old Dominion.
City officials said the campaign will highlight three areas: connectivity through transportation and workforce access, available industrial land and infrastructure for expansion, and continued investment and business growth.
Patrick Mullen, a branch manager for Border States, said the location provides access to the Denver metro area and regional highways.
“It still gives us access to the Denver metro area, easy access to highways north, south, east, and west,” Mullen said.
