In Brief:

DENVER — Huntington Bank has opened a new branch in Denver and plans to open another in Commerce City as part of its expansion in Colorado.

The bank opened a full-service branch on May 4 at 1991 S. Federal Blvd. in Denver. A second branch is scheduled to open June 1 at 15101 E. 104th Ave. in Commerce City.

Both locations will offer consumer and services.

“These two new branches represent another important step for Huntington in Colorado and the Denver area,” said Brian Kelso, Colorado regional president for Huntington. “It reflects our continued focus on serving this region through local bankers who care deeply about the people and businesses they serve.”

The Denver branch is located along the South Federal Boulevard corridor near Evans Avenue. The Commerce City branch will serve the Reunion area, a growing residential and commercial district.

Huntington said the expansion is part of its strategy to grow in Colorado and other high-growth markets. The bank also recently hired Keith Michalkewicz as senior market president to oversee regional banking strategy and community engagement in Colorado.

The bank said each branch will host opening events and community celebrations later this summer.
