Edward Francis

Edward Francis is chief executive officer and chairman of InBank, a Denver-based community bank he co-founded in 2018 to deliver relationship-focused banking and local decision-making across Colorado and New Mexico. Under his leadership, InBank has grown from $325 million in assets to $1.35 billion, a 315% increase, while expanding to more than 170 employees and introducing new business units, including healthcare banking, SBA lending and the Women in Business initiative.
Francis brings more than three decades of banking experience to his role. Before founding InBank, he served as CEO of FFP Acquisition Company and spent over 20 years with Hancock Whitney Bank, where he held leadership positions including chief banking officer, chief commercial banking officer and commercial banking executive. Earlier in his career, he worked with First Tennessee Bank and the National Bank of Commerce, establishing a foundation in commercial finance and relationship banking.
A graduate of the University of Mississippi and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, Francis is known for his integrity, strategic foresight and collaborative leadership style. “Ed’s business acumen, leadership and entrepreneurial spirit have driven InBank’s growth and created a culture built on integrity and relationships,” said Brian Kreps, senior vice president and market president at InBank.
Beyond his professional work, Francis serves on the boards of Firefly Autism, the Daniels Fund Scholarship Selection Committee and multiple University of Mississippi organizations, including the Foundation Board and the School of Business Administration Advisory Board. He has also taught at the Mississippi School of Banking for more than a decade.
