As co-managing director of The Fowler Bull Group in Denver, Shawn Fowler, 54, is consistently ranked as one of Colorado’s preeminent wealth advisors by Barron’s and Forbes. Fowler now helps manage the accounts of 85 clients with combined assets of roughly $15 billion.
The secret to his success? “We really don’t follow trends,” noted Fowler. “I learned early on to take that approach, because if you’re having to rebuild a portfolio through every economic cycle, you’re not doing it correctly.”
Fowler joined Morgan Stanley in 2001 as a wealth advisor, then partnered with Max Bull 20 years ago. The Fowler Bull Group has since grown from three people to 10 with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. “We come in five days a week, eight hours a day, and everybody shows up every day. We all work in one room, and that’s how we approach the business,” he said.
“We have a front-row seat to capitalism,” added Fowler. “We have built our own business while working hand-in-hand with our clients as they built their businesses.”
