Tony Frank, a 2026 Colorado Agriculture Hall of Fame inductee, grew up on a 400-acre family farm in rural Illinois, an experience that shaped his deep connection to agriculture and his conviction that innovation and adaptation are essential to the industry’s future. He earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois and a Ph.D. in comparative pathobiology from Purdue University. Frank joined Colorado State University in 1993 as an assistant professor and rose through a succession of leadership roles before serving as CSU president from 2008 to 2019. Currently, he serves as CSU System chancellor and will retire in 2026.
