DENVER — The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) will host its 2026 Innovation Summit in Denver from July 28-31, bringing together leaders in artificial intelligence, quantum technology, federal agencies and standards organizations to discuss the role of standards in emerging technologies.
The conference, “Accelerating the Digital Economy through AI and Quantum,” will take place on July 29 at the Grand Hyatt Denver.
“Standards are the critical infrastructure of the digital economy,” said Laurie E. Locascio, president and CEO of American National Standards Institute. “This conference is about how they can accelerate the adoption of AI today and prepare industry for the quantum transition ahead.”
The conference will feature a morning session focused on AI standards and an afternoon session examining the development and commercialization of quantum technologies.
The AI program will open with remarks from Rohit Israni, founder and CEO of CertientAI and chair of AI Standards US, and Craig Schlenoff of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Panels will address risk management for advanced AI systems and the standards implications of agentic AI technologies.
The quantum session will include discussions on industry infrastructure and commercialization. Speakers include Chris Monroe, co-founder of IonQ; Andrew Wilson; and Yoonchae Cheong.
A second panel will feature Colorado quantum industry leaders, including Scott Davis of Vescent Photonics, Zachary Yerushalmi of Elevate Quantum and Cody Moore.
The event highlights Colorado’s growing role in the quantum technology sector, which includes companies developing photonic and ion-trap systems, sensing technologies and quantum infrastructure. John Hickenlooper will provide recorded welcome remarks.
The conference is open to founders, investors, engineers, policymakers and others working in technology and standards development. Attendance is free, though advance registration is required.
