LINCOLN COUNTY, Colo. — LLC has become the first business to join Colorado’s Rural Jump-Start program, state officials announced Wednesday.

In Brief:
  • BHV Adventures is first Lincoln County participant in Rural Jump-Start
  • Company plans to manufacture in Arriba
  • State program includes a $15,000 startup grant
  • Eligible employees qualify for a state income tax exemption

Gov. Jared Polis and the Business Funding and Incentives division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade said the company plans to manufacture tiny homes on wheels in Lincoln County. BHV Adventures designs and sells both bumper pull and fifth wheel models.

The company plans to begin operations in a factory space in Arriba and intends to work with other local businesses, including Arriba Cueball Trailer MFG, High Plains Bank and Big Ben’s RV Park.

Under the Rural Jump-Start program, BHV Adventures will receive a $15,000 grant to support the launch of its operations. Eligible employees will also qualify for a state personal income tax exemption.

The program is designed to support economic development and job creation in economically distressed rural counties. It provides financial incentives to help businesses expand, create jobs and diversify local economies. Local sponsors, including the Lincoln County Economic Development Corporation, assist with identifying participating businesses and supporting their entry into the program.

State officials said BHV Adventures’ participation follows a 2020 executive action that expanded the Rural Jump-Start program to encourage investment in rural communities across Colorado.
