Zero Homes expands in Colorado, adds 53 clean energy jobs

DENVER — Zero Homes, a company that helps homeowners transition to electric home systems, plans to expand in the metro Denver area and create at least 53 jobs, Gov. Jared Polis and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade announced.

“In Colorado, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and saving Coloradans money on energy bills. I am excited to welcome Zero Homes to Colorado, helping us to boost our clean energy economy, and creating 53 new good-paying jobs,” Polis said.

Zero Homes uses a virtual process to help homeowners complete upgrades such as installing heat pumps. The company provides the service through a free mobile app supported by staff who assist customers with project design, installation scheduling, inspections and rebate coordination.

Heat pumps and more affordable, healthier homes are more accessible than ever,” said Grant Gunnison, founder and CEO of Zero Homes.

The company expects the new metro Denver jobs to pay an average annual wage of $140,377. Positions are expected to include software engineers, operations staff and management roles.

“Zero Homes’ decision to expand in Colorado is a clear testament to our state’s leadership in clean tech and our strong, growing economy. We are thrilled to support the development of the Zero Homes app to help simplify home electrification and the company’s expansion in Colorado,” said Eve Lieberman, executive director of OEDIT.

The Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $745,374 in performance-based Job Growth Incentive Tax Credits over eight years. The incentives require Zero Homes to meet job creation and salary targets. The company was referred to as Project Caraway during the review process.

In 2025, Zero Homes received an Early State Capital and Retention grant through OEDIT’s Advanced Industries Accelerator Program.

Zero Homes also considered Austin, Texas, for the expansion. The company currently employs 23 workers in Colorado.
