COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — BoodleBox, a platform for collaborative artificial intelligence in higher education, has selected Colorado Springs as the site of its new headquarters, Gov. Jared Polis announced Friday.
The company expects to create 30 new jobs with an average annual wage of $104,775, or 165 percent of the average in El Paso County. Positions will include sales executives, developers, data scientists and senior leadership.
“We are thrilled to welcome BoodleBox to Colorado, bringing 30 new good-paying jobs to our state and making AI tools easier to use for educators and students,” Polis said. “Colorado is the best place to live, work and run a business.”
BoodleBox provides students, faculty and institutions with access to multiple premium AI models, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and LLAMA, through a secure interface designed for responsible collaboration. The company says its platform can cut operating costs and environmental impact by up to 96 percent while maintaining compliance with federal privacy laws.
In Colorado Springs, BoodleBox plans to tailor services for college professors and students, focusing on class preparation, teaching, learning and assessments.
Founder and CEO France Hoang said the city offered the right environment for growth. “The support and incentives from the Colorado Economic Development Commission as well as local leadership throughout the Pikes Peak region create the perfect foundation for BoodleBox to scale our AI-powered educational platform,” Hoang said.
The Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $323,056 in performance-based Job Growth Incentive Tax Credits for the company over an eight-year period. The City of Colorado Springs Economic Development Department will also provide workforce development services and industry connections.
Local leaders welcomed the move. “Their AI-driven educational platform reflects the innovation and forward-thinking talent our region continues to attract,” said Johnna Reeder Kleymeyer, president and CEO of the Colorado Springs Chamber and EDC.
El Paso County Board of Commissioners Chair Carrie Geitner said BoodleBox’s arrival demonstrates the county’s commitment to supporting business growth through incentives such as the Enterprise Zone Program.
BoodleBox considered Tysons, Va., Atlanta, Ga., and Austin, Texas, before choosing Colorado. The company currently employs 16 people, including two in Colorado.
The company, in partnership with Exponential Impact, will host an Exponential Beginnings celebration Sept. 24 at XI Downtown in Colorado Springs.
