Over the past 36 years, she has guided the organization to deliver more than $369 million in loans, New Markets Tax Credits and grants to over 9,500 small businesses. Under her leadership, CEF became Colorado’s largest nonprofit PPP lender during the pandemic, deploying $52 million in relief and partnering with local governments to disburse an additional $35 million in grants to struggling businesses.
A true pioneer, Ceyl led CEF to secure five New Markets Tax Credits awards totaling $210 million to drive investment and job creation in underserved communities. In the last year alone, her vision and stewardship earned CEF SSA’s Community Lender of the Year and attracted a $7 million gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott.
Ceyl’s legacy extends beyond financial impact. She opened doors for women in banking and finance, mentoring through Denver Business Journal’s Mentoring Monday for six years. She serves as Trustee for the Denver Foundation, chairs its Impact Investing Committee and served on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors Community Advisory Council.
