Claude Pumilia is chief executive officer and chairman of the board at Accuris, a Denver-based technology company developing advanced solutions for engineering professionals worldwide. Since the company’s launch as an independent organization in 2023, following its divestiture from S&P Global, Pumilia has guided Accuris through rapid growth, cultural transformation and global expansion.
A graduate of Rice University with a degree in economics and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, Pumilia began his career as an associate at Accenture and McKinsey & Company. He held leadership roles in finance at Hewlett-Packard and CA Technologies before joining the City and County of Denver as chief financial officer. His subsequent executive positions included CFO and executive vice president at GIBER, Inc. CEO of The Broe Group and CEO of DAT Freight & Analytics, where he led the company’s evolution into a national analytics leader.
At Accuris, Pumilia has focused on innovation, collaboration and transparency. He leads initiatives that leverage artificial intelligence and engineering data to deliver tools such as Accuris Thread, Engineering Workbench Professional and Haystack; platforms that help global engineering teams design, collaborate and problem-solve more effectively. His leadership approach emphasizes open communication and employee engagement, including regular “Catching Up with Claude” and “Coffee with Claude” sessions that invite candid feedback and idea-sharing.
Under his direction, Accuris launched a companywide employee ownership program, Success Shares, and earned recognition as a 2025 Top Workplace in Colorado. Pumilia continues to champion a culture of innovation, empathy and shared success.
