Colorado minimum wage to rise to $15.71 in 2027

Colorado’s minimum wage will increase to $15.71 an hour in 2027, up 3.6% from $15.16 in 2026, the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment announced Aug. 13.
The minimum wage for tipped workers will rise to $12.69 an hour.
Colorado’s minimum wage is adjusted annually for inflation under the state constitution. The calculation uses the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The 2027 rate will be 41.5% higher than the state’s 2019 minimum wage of $11.10 an hour.
Denver has set its 2027 minimum wage at $19.84 an hour. Other local governments may establish their own rates through local ordinances. When state and local wage requirements differ, employers generally must pay the higher applicable rate.
